How to Pick Your Best Photo Before Editing It
No filter or AI restyle can fully fix a source photo with the wrong basics — starting with a genuinely good base photo makes every edit afterward look more convincing.
Sharp focus, especially on the eyes
A slightly soft or motion-blurred original photo stays soft no matter what style gets applied on top of it.
A clear, front-facing subject
Photos where the subject and their expression are clearly visible restyle better than ones with the face turned away, obscured, or mid-blink.
Reasonably even original lighting
A photo that's already very dark, very blown out, or lit unevenly gives an AI restyle less accurate information to work with than a clear, well-lit starting point.
Simple backgrounds work fine
